The Honourable Maxime Bernier has forwarded to me a copy of your electronic correspondence of May 26, 2007, concerning the future of the Community Access Program (CAP).
I appreciate the substantive feedback and many supportive comments received over the past year regarding this program. Please be assured that the Government of Canada remains committed to CAP. Industry Canada has invited organizations wishing to coordinate public Internet access sites that were established with funding from CAP to submit applications for CAP funding in 2007-08.
